Parking in and around schools has long been a problem

It is an issue in many places across the city and beyond. In our area, the two local primary schools, Oakhill and Stoke Minster are both on very narrow single carriageway roads which makes the situation even worse.

I would appeal to those people who need to pick up students from these schools to very carefully think about the safety of everyone before driving down either Rookery Lane or Boothen Old Road. I know the schools are both very concerned and last year I provided funding for signs at Oakhill and I am hoping to get some for Stoke Minster soon
