Last September I informed you of the temporary closure of Stoke’s One-Stop-Shop. It has now reopened. This, of course, is good news. It should bring more people to the library, market and town centre. However, there are some restrictions.
There are restricted opening times, you have to make an appointment and can’t use cash. However, it is open and hopefully full service will be resumed soon.
The full text of the message follows:-
“Good Morning Cllr Platt,
Thank you for your patience. I can confirm that Stoke OSS will open from 1pm today (10th May 2021).
Just a reminder that our current phased opening times will be Monday, Wednesday & Friday 13pm until 16:30pm and Tuesday & Thursday 9am until 13pm. To keep both our customers and staff safe for those that do still need to visit us face to face, an appointment will now need to be made. Customers can make an appointment by visiting stoke.gov.uk from tomorrow or calling 01782 234 234. We will also no longer be accepting cash or cheque payments at our local centres. If you need to make a payment in cash, customers can continue to use their local Pay Point or Post Office. Customers can still drop in to make a card payment during our opening times or visit stoke.gov.uk to make a payment online.
