At the demolition site on Poulson Street

The site of Stoke’s 1st Town Hall should be remembered.

During lockdown planning permission was given for a 74 space car park on the site of the former NCB medical facility and more recently a gym on Hill Street, Stoke. The buildings were in a poor condition and are currently being demolished.

This was the site of Stoke’s very 1st Town Hall. It was built in the late 18th/early 19th century when Stoke was little more than a few houses and potbanks.

I think this heritage should be remembered on site. It was an important development in the history of our town. If you do too please sign the petition below
