Access to the River Trent

The former Victoria Ground has been an eyesore for 18 years now.  I have been trying to get the site tidied up and developed since I was elected.  Unfortunately, as the site is privately owned most of the power is in the hands of the owners.

More recently I have been to the site with various senior council officers of the City Council to make the case for the continuation of the Trent River path through the site.  The latest was the Director of Public Health who was interested to see the possibilities for encouraging people to enjoy walking.

I am hopeful that whenever the site is developed and whatever development takes place one thing that will happen is that you will be able to walk the whole length of the River Trent from Stoke to Hanford.
