Cllr Andy Platt Standing up for Boothen, Oak Hill, Penkhull, Stoke & West End

We are coming into the Summer storm season. 2 years ago we had devastating storms on London Road which lead to some properties being entered by flood waters.
This is distressing for residents and should not be happening in this day and age. Following the events of 2020 I took a petition to the City Council on behalf of the residents and businesses of London Road. We obtained various commitments from the Council including clearing the rain water gullies in advance of forecast storms and rapid clear up afterwards.
If there is flooding this year the first call should be to Staffs Fire and Rescue so that they can be on hand for any emergency and please let me know by email to councillor@andyplatt.org.uk.
Let’s hope there is no emergency this year!
