Campbell Place

Earlier this month I raised the state of the new paving in Campbell Place in Full Council.  We had been waiting 13 years for the works and people hoped the works would improve the feel of the town centre.030_Campbell_Place_01.jpg

The council paid £300,000 for what was supposed to be a quality finish.  This is not what we have got.  Loose slabs, rainwater channels that catch wheelchair and pushchair wheels, poor bedding and even broken slabs.  Dreadful work that needs finishing properly - soon!

Please contact me on andy.platt@stoke.gov.uk if you have any similar issues you wish me to take up for you.

I have asked that the remedial works are done immediately and that retention monies are not paid to the contractors.  Two weeks later I am still waiting.  This is not good enough.  After waiting 13 years we deserve a quality job.
