#LocalQuality1

Carmens_ad.jpgOver the next few weeks I intend to highlight a local organisation centring on some of our great local businesses.  There is no priority in doing this it is just random.

I am starting with one just over a year old but already established in the heart of our neighbourhood.  Carmen's Caribbean Cuisine is a takeaway at 219, London Road with a small seating area.  Dee Griffiths started the business in memory of his Mum (Carmen) and her cooking from her homeland of Barbados.

I have used the place since it started and have tried most of the food.  It is pretty authentic, I would say.  Mainly spicy but pretty subtle sometimes.  I love the Rice and Peas with its thymey finish and the Curry Mutton with steamed vegetables.  According to Dee the Jerk Chicken is a favourite among locals.

So good luck for the future Dee.

Please let me know of your favourite or your local business and I shall put it on the list to publicise.

P.S. It must be in Stoke Town Centre or Boothen & Oak Hill ward to qualify.
